Schools benefit from a co-ordinated package which includes tuition/lifeguarding, pool hire, transport (where applicable) and supply cover. There is also flexibility within the service which allows us to cater for schools’ individual requirements.
How does it work?
School Swimming is a buy-in service available to all schools in Oldham.
The service works within National Curriculum guidelines to deliver physical activity and increase participation in sport.
First Aid Courses can be delivered in schools, workplaces and organisations, leading to formal qualification (min age 16).
About the teachers
All teachers are qualified Level 2 swimming teachers, have CRB clearance and hold a Pool Lifeguard certificate.
We also have a qualified tutor/trainer who delivers Lifeguard training and First aid courses
Teachers also work with local clubs to help young people progress with swimming, and mentor young volunteers who are not in education, employment or training.
